It's Been Awhile
I haven't put my thoughts into words in at least a month and a half, so this feels a little bit weird as I'm writing.
The lack of writing probably has something to do with the lack of stuff to write about, as I've spent the vast majority of my time the last 7-8 weeks studying for the MCAT (ugh, again for a 3rd time) and job hunting. For the moment, I'm about 80% done studying all the material for the MCAT ONCE, which just illustrates how much freaking material is actually on this exam. I'm hoping I'll be efficient enough to take a practice test sometime in the next 7-10 days. As for the job hunt, I'll most likely be teaching at the local high schools as a substitute until I can find something else better. The bartending gig I had hoped for hasn't been offered to me yet like I had hoped it would have been by now, but hopefully I'll hear back soon.
As a result of having spent little to no time on my social life, it's been much harder the past 2 months keeping up with people in terms of communication. Aside from the usual suspects, I haven't really had much of a chance to catch up with a lot of people, and that's something I don't feel great about. Just the other day, I went to Moe's Southwest Grill with Ray, Doug and Jackie and we easily spent over 2 hours there (keep in mind, it's a fast food restaurant) just talking after eating. It really sucks not being able to see anyone for extended periods of time. If I haven't talked to you in awhile and you'd like to catch up, drop me a line anytime. I'll make time to talk.
